2014 Delegation

The 2014 delegation to South Africa will depart on Monday, February 17 and return on March 9, 2014 for the annual mission trip to  the Cape Town area, the Townships and the Transkei (Eastern Cape) region of South Africa.
During the trip the delegates will visit hospitals and clinics to deliver the 700+ pounds of medial supplies and newborn clothing donated by generous individuals here in Minnesota.  In addition, the group will meet with representatives of the Fun Learning for Youth (FLY) tutoring program, the Rainbow School, day care facilities, a senior center, the Sisters of Charity orphanage and hospice. During our visit to the Eastern Cape we will participate in two food distributions; Malungeni and Itipini.
A highlight of this year’s trip will be in Cape Town where the delegation will attend an event featuring Bishop Desmond Tutu as one of the speakers.
