Report from Touching Acts
The AIAIA Education committee has received good news from Touching Acts Boarding School regarding the academic success of the grade school children who attend St.Patrick’s School in Mthatha in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. We would like to also acknowledge the tremendous support the children receive at the boarding home from the caregivers who taught them through the Covid lockdown and tutor them daily. It takes a village.
AIAIA provides funds for transportation, uniforms and school supplies.
Report from Touching Acts:
Touching Acts seeks to update AIAIA on the academic progress of our children in the 3rd academic term of 2021. We acknowledge your efforts in advancing our mission of providing access to quality education to our future global leaders.
You equip a child with education, you have given them a foundation and greatest tool in their future expeditions. Touching Acts children embraced the idea of education being a part of the success and change their want in life which saw their determination and dedication improving their grades in the third academic term. The organisation was made proud by the determination they showed which has not only raised our flag but proved that our vision of raising future leaders is materializing. Touching Acts stands proud of all their vision part-takers, local and abroad, who are tirelessly supporting our children’s academic journey, financially and in kind, even spiritually. It’s through their kindness and thoughtfulness that as an organisation we have managed to make it this far and continuing.
The primary scholars pass rate improved from 87.5% in the 2nd term to a 100% in the third academic term. Our children’s teachers at St. Patrick’s Primary school worked tirelessly and never gave up on our future global leaders hence the significant change in their performance.
