Local Partnerships

Part of our day was spent with the community that we first came to know as Itipini. In the 20 years that AIAIA has worked to develop local partnerships aimed at enhancing the right to “dignity and a decent life,” it is so abundantly clear that justice remains unserved in our world community. The delegation’s simple, yet profound gesture of being there today gives me hope. A very necessary ingredient in helping to make a change for good in our world is to step out of one’s comfort zone and to actually be in solidarity with the those living in poverty. I want to express my gratitude and admiration to the 2020 AIAIA delegation for their willingness to make a difference.
