Virtual Fundraiser

So excited to invite you to participate in the 20th anniversary of Arm in Arm in Africa, a cause you know to be close to my heart. On Saturday, July 18 -- the day that honors Nelson Mandela internationally -- we're presenting "Arm in Arm in Action," a one-hour virtual fundraiser that tells our story and brings together entertainers from both countries in a show designed for the whole family.

It's not only our anniversary, it's a critical time in our work. COVID-19 is ramping up in South Africa and, coupled with the economic hardship it brings, is making life in the townships all the more challenging. Our goal is to raise $100,000 and double our food distribution. Four times a year, Arm in Arm buys food from local retailers and distributes parcels that feed a family of four for more than a month. The families are selected by their neighbors as the most in need and our Directors on the ground oversee distribution to ensure the food goes directly to those families.
