A Sunday Reunion To Celebrate
I have been increasingly aware of how vitally important the yearly delegations have been over the last twenty plus years. The COVID pandemic taught the world how to pivot and adjust to new ways of relating the our world. As a result of the pandemic, AIAIA has not been able to actually spend time with our South African cousins. Today we came home to our family at JLZWANE Church in Guguletu.
We embraced, we sang and we danced for the first time since 2020. It was very good to be home. We celebrated, even in the midst of being aware that some of our family members had died. We celebrated, even in the midst of knowing that life has become increasingly more challenging, with far less resources to provide for the common good of all people. We celebrated because we know that it is the right thing to do, no matter the challenges. May we always have the wisdom to recognize the One who is leading the dance.
I honor this day with these words;
“Giver of life, creator of all that is lovely, Teach me to sing the words to your song; I want to feel the music of living and not fear the sad songs, but from them make new songs. Composed of both laughter and tears. Teach me to dance to the sounds of your world and your people. Help me to try to follow your leading. To risk even falling. To rise and keep trying, because you are leading the dance.
Celebrating the Dance of Life,
James Cassidy, President AIAIA
