Education Changes Everything
One of the most devastating parts of Apartheid was the long-lasting impact on generations of black South Africans when it was deemed illegal for black children to receive any more than a fourth grade education…So to see hundreds of students attending a career fair and lining up several people deep to learn about universities is a clear sign that things are changing!
Today—on a Saturday—young adults from several townships near Cape Town gathered to hear about professional and educational opportunities that most of their grandparents could not have imagined possible.
The event was sponsored by a passionate group of female business mentors named “Women of Substance”.
This is what hope for the future looks like!
