The Bright Color Of Happiness

Celebration Sunday at JL Zwane church in Gugulethu is as joyful as it is colorful!

Our long-time church hosts celebrated our last day in the community with their traditional explosion of colors and music. Our delegation did our best to keep up, but it wasn’t easy.

The residents from throughout this township wear their most beautiful and meaningful clothing for the entire year as they celebrate their ongoing support for each other…and their partnership with us.

Arm in Arm in Africa has been a guest for this unique service for more than two decades now, and the dancing and signing still takes our breath away.

This church was our first true partner in South Africa…which makes it harder and harder to say goodbye when we leave each and every year!!
