Cherokee Wisdom

Cherokee Wisdom... One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, My son, the battle is between two wolves' inside us all.One is evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego. The other is good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The grandson thought about it and then asked his grandfather: Which one wins? The old Cherokee simply replied,'The one you choose to feed. Our first day and we had time with our friends at Itipini. We were able to share a food distribution and a prayer with this community. We hope to also provide a hot meal in the next few days. We also have a goal of providing shoes for all those 18 and younger. Arm In Arm In Africa is honored to partner with our sister, Olga and all that she brings to assist the Itipini community throughout the year. Olga is pictured in the red apron. As the proverb of the Old Cherokee reminds us, I would implore those of us in the world community who only know abundance, to be willing and passionate about doing the right thing and "choosing to feed the wolf" that represents love and compassion. I want to thank the many individuals that financially empower Arm In Arm In Africa to make a difference in our world. James Cassidy
