Day Five

Today is Sunday.....time for church.  Once a year the JL Zwane Centre in Gugulethu celebrates with a fundraising Sunday.  There are 18 "zones" ( neighborhoods ) that comprise this church, each one competing for the top spot of raising the most Rand (dollars) for the benefit of the church.  It is a morning of singing, dancing and rejoicing in the glory of the spirit of God. This year the congregation was addressed by Reverend Spiwo Xapile with the message that challenged the community to not look back, only forward ...not as individuals but as a family. The Arm In Arm delegation had an opportunity to introduce themselves and express their gratitude for being welcomed into their celebration.
