Father Mike Lapsley

Fr Michael is the founder of the Institute of Healing of Memories. The St Joan of Arch community was honored to host Fr. Michael as a pre-mass speaker several years ago. Fr. Michael is an Anglican priest and was transferee to South Africa in the early 1980's. He became involved in the African National Congress in the fight against the apartheid government. As a result of his political involvement and passion for racial equality, Fr Michael received a letter bomb resulting in the loss of his hands and the site of one eye. Through his life experiences, the Institute of the Healing of Memories became an invaluable resource for healing. Arm in Arm in Africa counties to work with Fr. Michael in developing a partnership.
