Gardening Initiative

AIAIA celebrates a new gardening initiative in the village of Malungeni. More than a dozen women were provided wheelbarrows as a step to assisting them in their local program on increasing food production within their own community. Equipped with the new wheelbarrow, a more senior member was thrilled with the new wheelbarrow and thanked AIAIA by sharing that she now felt she "could work in the garden until the day she died!   It was a great way to end our day and to honor the strength and determination of African women, who are able to joyfully manage so much, with so few physical resources Visit our Flickr page for more photos
