St. Luke's Hospice

  • St. Luke's Hospice serves patients needing palliative and hospice care both in and outside the home. The day hospice provides an opportunity of support, socialization and relief for caregivers.

  • Patients join activities once per week and have access to a range of services by their interdisciplinary team consisting of nurses, social worker, volunteers, spiritual counsellor and medical doctor depending on their individual needs.

  • This model increases the quality of life where patients are supported from time of diagnosis and prevents social exclusion or feelings of isolation. Creative activities are arranged to engage and stimulate patients in a meaningful way.

  • AIAIA funds assist with transportation of patients to the day hospice, as well as in-home meals tailored to the specific dietary needs of end-of-life patients.
