Supporting Success Stories
Fr. Jim Cassidy, co-founder and President of AIAIA, will give his annual address and update on Arm in Arm Weekend Nov. 18–19 at St. Joan of Arc. Among the stories he’ll share is that of the Women of Plumbing, a training and small business initiative in Gugulethu that Arm in Arm is helping launch.
More than 100 women have completed the training program and are now able to maintain the plumbing in their homes, and also can earn income with their new skills. AIAIA has provided 6 plumbing kits that are being used by the graduates to perform their work.
Fr. Cassidy will have more to say on the plumbers and other work of Arm in Arm. We thank you in advance for your support in November and December, the most important earning period of the year for our organization. Our goal is to raise $192,000 to make our budget for 2023 despite significant increases in food cost.
A New Way You Can Help!
For the first time, Arm in Arm in Africa has produced a brief video of its work that can help friends like you show share our story better than ever before.
Please copy/paste this link aiaia.org/purpose when you next email or write to a friend who you think would support our work.
Nothing tells our story better than seeing and hearing from our ‘cousins’ that are directly engaged in our Food, Healthcare, and Education programs.
Thank you for helping to spread the Arm in Arm story!
