The Joy In The Faces

The joy in the faces told today’s story…

From the TLC Orphanage in the Barcelona township…and the Senior Center in Gugulethu…to the beaming smiles on the bus bringing the delegates back to our hotel.

It reminded us all of the power of the human touch—and the importance of connecting.

We started by giving hand massages to some of Gugulethu’s proudest and most appreciative elders. (They are also amazing singers and dancers, by the way!)

Our day ended playing games with some of the 36 orphans—from toddlers to 28 years of age. One aspires to college. Others just want a ball to play with. (And we brought several.)

And through it all…their faces showed the joy that we aspire to.
